The monitoring of the impeachment process should be the responsibility of everyone, to show that democracy is alive and working in this country. This is just a very simple act of championing right over wrong. We all deserve this. This impeachment process can actually make the Philippines a stronger nation. It can give the Filipinos a more effective government, and ensures for us a better political and social future.

What gave Mike, and for that matter Gloria, the idea that it’s their money to hold back in the first place. It’s not Gloria’s money. It’s the people’s fund and Mike has zero right to even hint that it is being held back to blackmail the opposition for Gloria’s amusement.

The second impeachment bid is a litmus test to determine the principles and source of conviction of each member of the minority. There were gray areas before as to reasons, political positions, and personal interpretations during our first attempt but there are no more excuses this time. The choice is simply yes or no, no more theatrics, because we’ve all been there and done it.

Ang pangalawang impeachment ay pagsubok sa kung ano ang paninindigan at prinsipyo ng mga myembro ng minorya. May mga malabo noon tungkol sa kanilang mga rason, mga pulitikal na posisyon at interpretasyon pero wala nang lusot ngayon. Simpleng Oo o hindi lang ang kailangan. Wala nang drama at mga talumpati pa.

Lying has become so ordinary for this administration. They lie to get attention. They lie because they know that people see clearly through their wrong acts. I wonder, whatever happened to their family values? It is hypocrisy and another big lie for the administration to say that they just treat surveys as mere popularity contests. They say it to hide the huge negative effect of this “people’s spanking.” In every democratic country, the opinions gathered at polls like our SWS are taken very seriously. Political groups and even private organizations spend lots of money on surveys because it is the basis of how government and any organization can tailor their actions, policies and decisions to fit the taste and approval of the people. But let us all be wary of the tactic of the administration, they insist that they don’t take surveys seriously to dissuade people from thinking critically because they desperately want the people to be blinded and not see their deceitful acts
