CIBAC has firmly stood its ground as a government fiscalizer in the House of Representatives. It has called for and spearheaded various inquiries in aid of its anti-corruption legislative agenda. Among these are the Pampanga Quarry Scam, the "Hello Garci" Scandal, ATM Fees Issue and Maynilad Privatization Issue.

CIBAC remained true to its commitment to good governance and continued its unwavering fight against graft and corruption. It has passionately pushed its anti-corruption legislative agenda in Congress. Among its priority measures include the Freedom to Access to Information Bill, the Access to Frontline Services Information Bill and the Anti-Red Tape Bill. It has also pushed for bills to uphold and protect the nation’s well-being and morality which includes the Anti-Marital Infidelity Bill and the Public Attorneys Office (PAO) Bill.

The work of a legislator knows no rest and knows no end. Rep. Joel Villanueva filed hundreds of proposals pertaining to different issues during the 12th and 13th Congresses. However, the intricacies of our law-making process and the politics behind it, especially in an administration-dominated House of Representatives, have hindered the passage of many of these proposals. Nevertheless, CIBAC considers it a victory for having some of its proposals passed in Congress.
