“For those inquiring on whether Manny Pacquiao is qualified to run for senator:  Manny Pacquiao is only 29 years old.  The Constitution states, Section 3, Article 6, ‘no person shall be a Senator unless he is a natural-born citizen of the Philippines, and on the day of the election, is at least thirty-five years of age, able to read and write, etc.’  There-fore he is not qualified to run for Senator in 2010,” ani Go-lez.
   
Magugunitang maraming fans ni Pacquiao, sumapi sa Kabalikat ng Malayang Pili-pino (Kampi), ang nababaha-la sa plano nito sa 2010 na pumasok muli sa politika dahil sa kanilang pangamba na gugulo ang buhay nito at mawala ng tuluyan ang pag-kakaisang ikinintal nito sa buong bansa.
   
Naniniwala naman sina Citizens Battle Against Corrup-tion Rep. Joel Villanueva at Manila Rep. Bienvenido Aban-te na magandang promosyon sa Kampi ang pagkakapasok ni Pacquiao sa partido.
   
“It’s good promotion for Kampi, that’s for sure but the playing field in 2010 will be a lot different, maybe the bigger question is will it be enough to forget the performance of the outgoing President?  We’ll see na lang,” ani Villanueva.
   
Sa kanyang parte, sinabi naman ni Abante ang mga katagang: “Good addition for Kampi but with the political situation, the opposition has the upper hand, however Kampi is known to have resources.”
