| Nograles welcomes Enrile leadership |

House Speaker Prospero Nograles on Monday congratulated newly-installed Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile as he expressed hope that both Houses would have a better relationship. A report from radio dzBB quoted Nograles as saying that he welcomes Enrile’s leadership, but refused to give further comment, citing inter-parliamentary courtesy. Meanwhile, Citizens Battle Against Corruption (Cibac) party-list Rep. Joel Villanueva said he is hoping that the development in the Senate was not politicially motivated. Villanueva said one of the reasons that could have contributed to Villar's ouster was his strong opposition to Charter-change (Cha-cha).
