The issue is SEC Commissioner Martinez’ alleged protection of and connection with the Legacy Group owned by Mayor delos Angeles and not CIBAC. Commissioner Martinez’ connection with CIBAC as nominee ended after the 2001 elections. He was not an official of CIBAC. CIBAC fought, is fighting and will always fight against any form of corruption. CIBAC supports any investigation and prosecution of erring officials in government for no one is above the law. CIBAC maintains its call for transparency and accountability in government for public office is a public trust. CIBAC represents the people’s battle against corruption and this has not changed.
